Hearts score sheet: free printable and online scorekeeper

Keep score for a game of Hearts right here: type the points each player took in a hand and the sheet adds them up, marks the player in the lead (lowest score) and checks that every hand adds up to 26. If someone shoots the moon, pick their name and the sheet scores the hand for you. Or print a blank sheet for the card table. Everything stays in your browser; there is no sign-up.

How to fill it in: after each hand, count the hearts each player took (1 point each) and add 13 for whoever took the queen of spades. Type those numbers in the hand's row. If one player took all 13 hearts and the queen, choose that player under "Moon" and leave the points empty: they score 0 and everyone else 26.

How Hearts scoring works

  • Hearts: each heart you take is 1 point.
  • Queen of spades: 13 points.
  • Every hand totals 26 (13 hearts + 13 for the queen). If your numbers don't add up to 26, someone miscounted; the Check column flags it.
  • Shooting the moon: take all 13 hearts and the queen and you score 0 while every other player scores 26.
  • Jack of diamonds (optional): in the Omnibus variant, whoever takes the jack of diamonds subtracts 10, so a hand totals 16.
  • Winning: the game ends when someone reaches the target, usually 100. The player with the lowest score wins. If the lowest score is tied, keep playing.

Full rules, passing and strategy tips are on the Hearts rules page.

Example hand

North takes 3 hearts, East takes the queen of spades and 2 hearts, South takes 8 hearts and West takes nothing. The row reads 3, 15, 8, 0, which adds up to 26. Next hand, South takes every heart and the queen: choose South under "Moon" and the row becomes 26, 26, 0, 26.

Printing a blank sheet

Press "New game", then "Print". The sheet prints without the buttons and with 12 empty hands, enough for most games to 100.

Questions

Is this Hearts scorekeeper free?

Yes. No ads, no account and no download. Your scores are saved only in this browser, so a refresh does not lose your game.

Does it work for three or five players?

It is set up for the standard four-player game. With three or five players the points per hand are the same (26), so you can use four columns and leave one empty.

Can I use it on my phone at the table?

Yes. The sheet works on phones; swipe the table sideways on narrow screens.
